If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here at Sidco, what would it be?

Outside Sales and Application Engineer. I enjoy training outside sales forces on our product line, going into the field to look at applications, and finding ways to help our customers expand their business and product offerings.

What is your previous work experience? How does it translate to serving the customers in our industry?

I’ve worked in private distributing, company-owned distributing, and manufacturer-level filter sales in almost every industry from water, paper & pulp, to semi-conductors and steel plants! With 30 years of industrial filtration experience in all three levels of sales and distribution, I feel I am able to fully understand our customers’ needs and lend support from their perspectives.

What do you enjoy about the work you do at Sidco?

I enjoy the variety of industries we serve, solving problems, and working on new product designs with customers. I look forward to bringing my 30+ years of experience into play with new products, customers, and markets. We have a great team here, and I enjoy working with everyone at Sidco.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

My favorite things to do outside of work are fishing in the back marshes of South Carolina, waterfowl hunting in the plains, and marshes. I also like boating and exploring the waterways around the South Carolina coast.

I enjoy reading about filters, new industries, power, and energy projects throughout the US. Power-plants are a love of mine – My wife laughs when we are on vacation and I’m busy looking at filtration units!

What volunteering or passion projects do you enjoy outside of work?

I’m a member of the local Kiwanis club. We provide Thanksgiving dinners for local families in need. We also go into schools and award students who are improving their academics. I work on an adopt-a-highway program with Kiwanis picking up trash. I got involved because I care about the environment, but was able to meet a lot of new people through volunteering and networking!

Any other fun facts about you?

I live in Seabrook, South Carolina with my wife, Joy, and our French Bulldog, Franco Guido Morrone. We love Eco-travel and I always pack my fishing rod wherever I go!
